Eduardo Contreras was born and raised in the Gold Country of California. He graduated from the University of California, Merced in 2019 where he received a bachelor’s degree in Biology with an emphasis in Human Biology.
During his undergrad, Eduardo took on multiple leadership positions in various organizations such as Finance Chair, Fundraiser Chair, and Events Coordinator; as well as attending leadership conferences and seminars such as the Bobcat Leadership Series and Hunstman Leadership Summit. His leadership ventures during undergrad have helped him excel in his role as Training Coordinator. Eduardo also had the opportunity of working in a neuroepigenetics lab at UC Merced where he assisted with projects and experiments that tested potential causes for various neurodevelopmental disorders.
Eduardo started working in the field of autism services as a Behavior Technician and he loves the positive impact that ABA Therapy has on children with ASD. He enjoys being able to teach others about ABA in his role as Training Coordinator.
In his free time, Eduardo enjoys reading books, going to the gym, and spending time with friends and loved ones. He has recently become a benefactor for his alma mater, Calaveras High School, and will be presenting his first scholarship to a selected outgoing senior student in 2020.
